An easy drinking Pinot etched with spice. A wine closer to a light bodied Shiraz than a typical Pinot Noir.
It smells of strawberries, smoke and plummy fruit. A bit twiggy too with soggy compost aromas adding to the list after a few more swirls of the glass. The acid is bright and steals the attention from the fruit. Not as dainty as a Pinot could be in the mouth, it is still a good drink for a lazy night in.
Drink now to six years.
