Mataro is that weird and freaky kid at the back of the party but in time every one wants to hang with him. He's the casual social who goes about his business without the bells and whistles.
Big love here for the chocolate and earthy feels. Dark berry fruits are the beating heart of this wine. A spicy sucker yet it possesses a gentle touch. The fruit just glides through effortlessly. What I find striking is its impressive depth yet it's not weighty nor bogged down. One of those wines which draws out great conversation as you sip slow all night. Drink more Mataro I say and this is a beauty worth getting to know.
