Higher Plane Fumé Blanc 2019

100% barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc that saw old French oak for 6 months.

You can see then impact of the barrel ferment but there's still plenty of Sauvignon Blanc freshness on show. Gooseberry, cut green herbs and a good whack of pineapple. A gentle textural rub strolls through the mouth. Straight out of the bottle the acid came across over energetic clinging to the teeth - under ripe green apple like. I left it for two hours in the glass and it settled immeasurably - much soft but still with a whip crack on close. A wine to enjoy with creamy seafood and chicken dishes.

Drink now.
