Wines can be broadly classified into "fruit" or "savoury". This Margaret River Shiraz falls into the savoury box.
Quite a spicy Shiraz, it's all black earth, char and rubs of dried herbs. The delivery seems to come in waves and doesn't flow consistently as much as I'd like. The generous spice on close runs long. A wine which would be better with food, be it a casual barbecue or burgers.
Drink to five years.
