Redman Wines The Redman 2010

A blend of Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot, The Redman is the top dog in the stable. And what an excellent wine it is.

Cedar, aniseed and cloves are hard to miss early. The waft ever so casually from the glass.

There's a delicacy and precision here. A smart blend, it glides with ease through the mouth. Each element pulling its weight, the fruit coats the mouth with absolute ease. Medium bodied, liquid velvet you could say. Blackberries and blackcurrant lead the way. Subtle menthol, dried herb and black olives walk in line. Cedar from the oak and delicate pillows of tannins float atop the tongue seducing you into another sip. With a length that lasts for what seems days, this is a fine piece of winemaking craftsmanship. An excellent wine which will live long.
