A new Marsanne from Queensland producer Witches Falls.
The fruit is sourced from the Riverland. Good varietal characteristics shine through - faint almond nuttiness, honeyed tones, melons and yellow stonefruit along with a creamy texture from time in old oak. But there's a wicked underripe green apple acidity that is bright and has eyes for nothing but searing through fatty foods. It could be seen as piercing. The bones of a quality wine are here but tone the acid down and this is marching forward.
Drink to three years.
