Hesketh Negroamaro 2019

Negroamaro is catching on and I dig. This is a solid example that is well priced. Go forth and embrace.

Hailing from Puglia in southern Italy, its name means "blackest of the black". Sourced from the Barossa Valley, the fruit is grown by the well-known Kalleske family.

Sitting behind a veil of exotic spices you find pretty purple flowers, juicy red berries, and a hint of chocolate. Perhaps a lick of carob too. Medium-bodied, there's good energy about the way it moves with a soft acid to close. A wine that walks with a relaxed stride, enjoy this as you sip it slowly by the fire or have with smokey barbeque food and you have a smashing combo.

Drink now to three years.
