So fresh, bright and delicious, this Viognier from Yalumba always over-delivers for the money. It is easily one of the best value wines you can find around the $10 mark. Happy International Viognier Day (30 April).
This delivers in spades. Yellow flowers, mock orange plus slivers of almond slide into your senses early. Honeysuckle, apricots and fine ginger spices add more pleasure with that spice tickle seemingly never-ending. There is much to admire about the richness and layering at this price point. Hang around long enough to see fennel and a hint of aniseed to close. Yum! A classic that is readily available. Go here.
