The Laughing Magpie is creeping back to its glory years. The last few years have incrementally stepped up and this release is no different.
Black fruits swoon. Lovely depth. Snuggle-able glory here. It's scruffy hair, rough-looking with the dinner dress on to impress. Soft scents of sauteed mushrooms which I found curious. Cloves run at you. Caramel and vanilla like oak circle the wagons before zeroing in and meshing nicely for a long finish etched with spices. Age this. I reckon it will turn out a treat for those who are patient.
