You could be mistaken that a Shiraz was in your glass. This is bigger and more robust for a Gamay than I expected, that's for sure.
On opening, I picked up burnt rump ends, spicy pepper and dark cherry. That pepper steak lingers. Very much savoury-driven, earthy and twiggy aromas diffuse. Drying with some minerally feels, there is a flicker of warmth on the tail too. Dusty tannins have the last word on a Gamay that would be suited for meat pies and burgers.
