I've been out of the chair for a few weeks, so we should get back into it... Let's start 2026 with a bang as I introduce this fresh and inviting modern Chardonnay from Holm Oak to you that oozes chillaxed sundowner vibes.
Barrel fermented (30% new French oak) with 50% seeing malolatic fermentation, there is an unmissable upbeat rhythm here and I want in.
Lemon juice, lemon curd and some old school lemonade kick things off. A fine almond meal and cashew nuttiness muse with a yellow grapefruit zip, ably supported by a lemon sherbet tang. Finely textured and incredibly moreish, this is the type of Chardonnay weekends are made for. Go here.
