Angove Family Crest GSM 2017
Rock solid GSM. A delightful drink for something meaty. I had it with burgers and it worked a treat. An easy slurp with some character.
Red fruits and berries and bundled up by meaty and spicy characters. It's got a fair dash of spice too mind you - think pepper and star anise. The mouth fills out well with a good push from the Shiraz component. Earthy feels come late (thank you Mourvedre) with a drying, almost puckering finish. Good stuff. I'd happily buy a bottle to share with friends over a meal - or burger.
Drink now to five years.
Region: McLaren Vale
