This grew into a neat groove over a couple of days of tasting. A beautiful expression of Coonawarra Cabernet.
Sourced from nine blocks, the fruit was picked two weeks earlier than the 2015 vintage due to a warmer than usual spring. 14 months in a combination of new and second use French oak.
Dark fruit and berries drag their feet through some earth. Flashes of black olive and herbs plus the expected mint. Cinnamon spice clutches to a long and moreish finish. Hard to not keep going back really. Great drinking. I could even be coerced into giving an extra point.
Drinking well now but will reward cellaring for a decade+
