Always a reliable value pick and here we go again. McLaren Vale Cabernet singing beautifully under 20 bucks.
Dense and rich. A quick whiff and choc mint springs to its feet. Black fruit the hero - some fruit sweetness evident too. Perhaps a little jammy? Some green herbs plus a kick of earth. A little more time to breathe and tomato bush aromas appear ever so subtly. Sitting a notch below full bodied, this fills the mouth with width and breath impressively. A great release and super buying. Dare I suspect you'll find it in retail land for around $15 - a bargain.
Drink now to ten years.
