A fruit forward Chardonnay highlighted by tropical fruit.
A splash of Pinot Gris (5%) has been added. 50% of the Chardonnay was barrel fermented (9% new oak). Lemon sherbet, tang early. Whiffs of pineapple, rockmelon and whispers of vanilla. Lemon zest pushes through and lingers before that citrusy tang reappears. The depth and weight are elements which don't seem to come and play. It drinks okay mind you.
Drink now to five years.
