Gundog Estate Canberra District Shiraz 2017
Such a pretty wine. The longer it sat in the glass the more it got comfortable and put on a show. And what a show it was.
Blackberry and boysenberry steal the limelight. Ribbed with peppery spice, there are touches of char and faint game late. The fruit perches itself on the palate and almost refuses to move sitting in on a long and persistent finish. Silky tannins urge another sip, and admittedly, its hard to ignore the invitation from this medium-bodied beauty. A super wine.
Drink now to eight years.
