This is the only Graciano grown in Queensland with the next closest vineyard in Mudgee, NSW. Weighing in at only 12.7% alc, there's a bigger frame on the bones than one would expect.
Tasted at the cellar door, it's littered with macerated cherries and spicy characters. Cloves, nutmeg and a touch of mint can all be seen yet none assumes control - all work in unison. More time in the glass reveals brighter purple florals and dried red flowers. Dark chocolate kicks in late but the wine just continues to move along at a neat tempo. Acid is well balanced and the finish is best described as crisp. Members pay $45.
