Chalmers Lambrusco 2018

Let's move away from the stereotype that Lambrusco is a cheap, semi-sweet wine because this rendition doesn't fit those shoes.

Made to be a dry style aperitif, this was made in the traditional method and bottled with a crown seal.

The wine also saw nine months on lees with 4 grams/Litre dosage added. A sip and I'm thinking I need a beef or lamb skewer kebab in one hand and a glass of this in the other.

Some dense fruit is laden with blackberries and blackcurrant. Some black earth and black tea tannins caress the mouth on a dry and moreish finish. A beauty!

Drink now.
