The rebirth of a new Brand label so famous in the Coonawarra region. You can't help but admire the excitement that gushes from Sam Brand when he details what has been happening in recent years and the plans for the future. Give this Cabernet Franc some time to breathe and you'll be rewarded.
A weighty and dense type, it seemed dull and ho-hum upon opening. I left it alone for a couple of days and what a metamorphosis! Give it some time to breathe for best results.
Black fruit, dried purple flowers and eucalpyt scents. It's mouthfilling with a rattle of spice. Red plums and dark fruits consume the mouth. Some warmth on the back palate with a brightish acidity points towards a long future. Tick.
