Indigo Vineyards Secret Village Beechworth Pinot Noir 2016

Beechworth Pinot Noir. Plenty of reasons to sit up and take notice here. I lined this up alongside some counterparts from the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula. This didn't take a step back and it landed a few body blows.

A very tidy wine. You could get comfortable with this quite easily.

Plummy and blackberry fruit get things on the move. There's a seductive depth here without having that knock out clout to turn you away. Twiggy and earth tones roll through effortlessly before a wash of peppery spice lingers long to a moreish and satisfying finish.

Classy stuff. I could be persuaded into giving 93.

Drink now to eight years.

92/100
