An 80/20 Mataro Shiraz blend from the Barossa sub-region of Ebenezer. I just want to get knee deep in this. Perhaps Adele's Rolling in the Deep may be the more appropriate tune?
Sumptuous dark fruits. There's a good whiff of oak plus gentle vanilla. A lift of boysenberry pulls away from the prominent dark plums. That calm wash of fruit covers the mouth graciously with a neat dab of earthiness, but that flavour profile refuses to back down. Fine spices litter the finish which sits long and urges another sip. Smart wine - Andrew Seppelt on song.
Run to this, just take your slippers off first.
Great drinking now and for the medium term.
