Worlds Apart Wines Blewitt Springs 2017

McLaren Vale Grenache done different. Really different...

Off 50-year-old vines, a third whole bunch and six days on skins. Super bright and light in the glass, this is only 10.7% alc. Five months in old oak, minimal sulfur, no acid, yeast, water, enzymes were added and it's not fined or filtered.

Underripe red fruit is the rage here - and deliberately so. But within this is a bright a crunchy wine exuding smash factor. Think underripe plum, red apple and pomegranate. Tart red apple through the mouth clings on. I gotta say, I warmed to this quite a bit. Chilling this Grenache down wouldn't do any harm either - take a leap of faith and you may be surprised with your findings.

Drink now.
