A label I haven't seen before, I bought this off the shelf with a hankering for a glass of Chardonnay. Tassie Chardonnay - I couldn't go wrong, could I?
Quite a pleasant wine. Lots of fruit coming to the fore early. Lemon sherbet, pineapple and caramelised peach. Flashes of green apple, deft touch of Jersey Caramel cream and nougat with yellow nectarine chugging along. A fairly well-balanced wine which tended to grow on me the longer it sat in the glass. The acid initially seemed quite prickly but settled. The refreshment box was ticked. Although pleased for the adventure, I'm not sure I'd buy another bottle.
Drink now to three years.
