Dalrymple Coal River Chardonnay 2022

Loaded with flavour and depth, this is a fabulous Chardonnay from Dalrymple. I'm sure that's what is drawing me closer each time. It may be the caramel drop delight. Perhaps it's the lemony tang. Regardless, I'll just keep sipping.

Moorilla Cloth Label White 2016

A skinsy white with plenty of personality. It's rich with rounded shoulders as it slides through with ease. I have no detail on the make up of this wine, but does that matter when it tastes and feels so good?

Domain A Lady A Sauvignon Blanc 2019

A lovely wine with a delicate touch but there is also richness here. It's focused with furrowed eyebrows - the game face is on. The level of complexity is ultra-impressive.

Moorilla Praxis Pinot Noir 2019

Part of the Praxis Series, "Be liberated from the mundane," the label says. You sure will be here. Bunchy and funky, loads of savoury delish come rushing at you.

Domain A Pinot Noir 2016

Something the Kiwis do better than Australians is releasing Pinot Noir with some age on its side. Generally, once Australian Pinot is bottled, the wine is thrown into retail land but something I really enjoyed over the ditch was the desire to hold Pinot Noir back to let it express itself in full. It is great to see some Australian producers such as Domain A being patient and rewarding consumers with an excellent wine with some bottle age.

Bay of Fires Chardonnay 2018

I was generously gifted this wine by Tony Peters, one of the most selfless and kind people I've had the pleasure of meeting through this wine caper. He is Mr Wine Tasmania - pageant sash and all. He bleeds the stuff. I'm pleased he shared this with me, too, as I don't ever see any wines from Accolade. This is a beautifully layered Chardonnay and I savoured it until the very last drop. Superb!

Nocton Vineyard Chardonnay 2015

A label I haven't seen before, I bought this off the shelf with a hankering for a glass of Chardonnay. Tassie Chardonnay - I couldn't go wrong, could I?

Pooley Wines Cooinda Vale Chardonay 2016

Chardonnay to take you to your happy place. The fruit from this vineyard was previously destined for Penfold's Yattarna - not anymore. This is the first vintage the Pooley's have kept their own fruit, an excellent decision in many respects.

Glaetzer-Dixon Überblanc Riesling 2016

I sat in the Glasshouse Bar in Hobart overlooking the Derwent River sipping on this. A great bar, relaxing views and the Aurora Australis docked beside. A delicious wine to capture the moment perfectly.

Pooley Wines Riesling 2016

A Trophy winner at the Royal Melbourne Show 2016. Very much deserved too. Apologies for the stamped bottle pic, it's the only one I could find. Mind you, after winning such an accolade, I don't blame the Pooleys for promoting it.

Pooley Wines Pinot Grigio 2016

An enjoyable Pinot Gris from Tasmania's Coal River region.
