Hugh Hamilton Dark Arts Jekyll and Hyde 2017

Co-fermented Shiraz Viognier which skips about with an exciting vibrancy.

I can't say I remember the last time I looked at a Hugh Hamilton wine. A friend of mine thrust a glass of this in front of me recently after we chowed down a roast meal. I can see why he enjoys their wines...

Canned apricot aromas are prominent from the outset. Although there is only 5 per cent Viognier in this blend, its contribution to the the aromatics, particularly, are telling. So fresh and vibrant, red berries, red plum, raspberry rope, dashes of char and wallet leather all mesh together with ease. Dusty tannins close out this delicious wine with a drawn out and moreish finish.

Drink to eight years.
