Delinquente Wine Co Screaming Betty Vermentino 2017

There's so much to like about these wines from Delinquente's Con-Greg Grigoriou. Riverland born and raised, it's great to see how he has reinvigorated the region with some trendy wines far from the usual mass production wine seen in the area. All of his fruit is certified organic and has been so for about eight years he tells me.

This Vermentino is picked early with the aim to build acid and keep the end result juicy. Fermentation was completed at 14 degrees taking four weeks.

There's plenty of interest to be found in here. Pear, under ripe pineapple and pine lime splice. More time in the glass reveals some green apple. A delicate minerality casually rolls through. Clean and refreshing, embrace the deliciousness with big pours.
