A lighter style red made for long lunches and sharing with friends. Named after winemaker Bonnie Hoare, I tasted this at the Cellar Door prior to sitting down to a pizza lunch. The pizza was super - bacon and caramalised onion no less. I wasn't all that fussed by this mind you - it goes okay.
A blend of Nero d'Avola, Aglianico and Montepulciano. The appearance in the bottle is dark than the image depicts. In the mouth it's light and simple. Dark berries and plums wash across the mouth with blackberry fruit stepping up. A touch of spice with a rub of tannin late, but in all, it's just a simple drink. A drink which will appease many I'm sure.
