A great Merlot right in the slot of drinking pleasure. From a cooler and longer Eden Valley vintage, there's a charm to this wine.
Dark fruit and berries, flecks of dark chocolate and a dusting of dried herbs all put their shoulder to the wheel to present a great drink. There's an energy to the way it presents itself which urges attention from the outset, and as it sees more time in the glass, some olive and tomato bush savoury notes step forward. A day on and a camphor characteristic rears its head as does a cool dose of mint for the win. Still a little tense (but not enough to detract), time will be its friend. There are no losers here. Share with those who make you laugh and your souls will be warmed times two.
