Take a bullet for this. A wicked blend of Tempranillo, Nero d'Avola, Lagrein and Negroamaro. Sit back and slurp it slow.
Give this a little time in the glass to compose itself and then cut loose.
It's meaty and round. Generous and long but there's a youthful crunch about it too. Given the makeup of the blend, it's no surprise black fruits roll through with absolute ease with soft spices curling around the mouth late. Nicely weighted, beveled edges with inviting width, it's a very sessional type. The best of these Ricca Terra releases, well I think so anyway.
Drink now to five years.
