Bang the bargain drum, hard! This is an absolute beauty for the money. I love it when wines like this come across the bench. Never seen before, this is a side project by Lisa Bray, who also makes wine at Robert Stein Winery. It's a fabulous example of Mudgee Cabernet.
Only 91 cases were produced but it exudes calm and class in equal doses. A beautiful drink for an emerging label, Lisa Bray has been making wine in Mudgee since 2004.
Licorice, black olive and rubs of mintiness but it's the buckets of juicy black fruits that steal the limelight. Dried Mediterranean herbs and dark chocolate add finesse with fine powdery tannins rolling the carpet out for a luxurious stroll to a long and lip-smacking finish. Delicious and then some for the money!
