Coonawarra has one of the longest ripening seasons for Chardonnay in the world I'm reliably informed. This is a neat find - Coonawarra ain't just all Cabernet...
Tasted at the Coonawarra Roadshow, I had to do a double take when told the price. Clever stuff.
Some quick notes on the run: Rich, delicate, peachy and white fleshed stonefruit, creamy drive, raw cashews, licks of vanilla and green apple. Yes yes!
Drink now to eight years.
