Not afraid to flex his muscle, there's plenty of generosity in this wine. Dark fruits, dark chocolate and peppery spice the main players. That dark fruit comes hard like a right jab. Some time in the glass reveals a faint lick of clove before drying and puckering tannins leave a parting shot. A wine that needs a meaty partner.
