Damn! I was sent a sample pack of Out of Step wines, and pardon the pun, but they are yet to put a foot out of place. What a cracking Nebbiolo this is.
There's some serious magnetism to this wine. Flashes of blackberry nip, orange peel and raspberry. Dried red flowers dangle to tease. Handfuls of savoury goodness are offered generously. Aniseed, burnt herbs, dried herbs, licks of tar, and lashings of earthy kicks - there's so much going on yet it all meshes as one as a beautiful package. Tannins provide some grip and edge on powdery. Captivating weight tightens the noose - it teases and hooks you in.
Such a beautiful drink. Go hunting for it.
