Semillon six years young from vines planted in 1908. A beautiful drink for the money.
Lovers of aged Semillon ought to make tracks this way. Drinking beautifully now, it will only to continue to evolve at a neat tempo.
From vines planted in 1908, it's soft and delicate. The acidity is softening and has put the feet on the dash as the generous citrus fruit drives at ease. Some biscuity goodness is clear, it's a wine turning the corner developing toasty characters synonymous with the variety. I found the width and breadth captivating leading to a sustained and moreish finish - bravo!
