A traditional style Grenache. There's more weight to this compared to the Glengrae Old Block. It's darker in the glass too. Some mulberry and blue fruits are secondary to the expected red fruit.
Touches of old oak, cedar and even some meatiness rears its head but the delivery is a little firmer carrying the slightly bigger profile. Still gorgeously medium bodied and lip-smacking with a brown spice hum just ticking away. Keep it in the glass long enough to get a Dutch chocolate tease on close. Yummo! I just want more.
To be released 1 September.
