Like its Grenache stablemate, this Mourvedre has a delicious slurp appeal. The fruit is soft and urges to be pulled closer.
Whole bunches (20%) were used before seeing 15 months in French oak, 15% of which was new.
Pretty purple and red flower aromas throw their arms out wide to greet you. Some earthiness before raspberry rope and licorice are neatly wrapped up by a hum of exotic and peppery spices. Powdery like tannins are firmish with tight acidity all pointing towards aging potential. A meat board will do the trick beside this thank you very much.
Drink now to 10 years.
