Benny seems to be a big boy with some attitude... A robust a gutsy wine for those that like 'em large.
Odd bedfellows Malbec and Merlot but they seem to play nicely and get along just fine.
Charred meat, baked berries and plums, flashes of earth and the hum of granite minerality run true. Cocoa-like tannins are scattered across the front two-thirds of the palate with the back seemingly missing the action. It feels firm with tense acid, even after two days of tasting.
Beef, stews and burgers all good partners I'd say.
Drink now to six years.
