Tense and firm Cabernet from the Eden Valley.
Admittedly, this looked better on day two of tasting, but many folks don't have that luxury of waiting and want to rip in when the cap comes off. Perhaps a good stint in the decanter is the way to go...
Leafy and steamy to begin. There's a greeny thing going on early which initially made me screw my face up weirdly. It settled when given another chance the following day, though that tension is still present. Blackberries and blackcurrant are prominent. It was a little tacky through the mouth too. In all, it just seems all a bit hit and miss.
