Picked early to retain freshness, this entry-level Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley's Soumah Wines is no slouch.
A blend of various sites, the fruit was predominantly barrel fermented and aged for eight months. It's an easy drinking drop with some interest but cruising along without too much complexity to fuss over. Juicy and tangy lemons plus licks of vanilla. The acid shines a fraction brighter than the fruit, but you can't knock youthful exuberance. Good stuff!
Drink now to five years.
