Patrick of Coonawarra Pinot Noir 2016

Although Patrick are Coonawarra based, this Pinot Noir is sourced from Mt Gambier just down the road.

There's good energy about the aromas. Strawberries and red cherries, lillipilly berries and a dash of cured meat for good measure. A plummy drive meanders through the mouth but flavours are quite muted lacking the vibe set by the aromas. A lick of menthol peered out to say hello a little later. It's soft in its delivery no less with lingering spices. All up, it didn't stack up that well in a line up of four similarly priced Pinots.

Drink now to three years.
