Lively and juicy, the fruit bounds along through the mouth with an almost carefree stride. You get the feeling it's a wine very comfortable to be in its own skin. Cabernet mintiness skips forward with blackberries and dark chocolate in hot pursuit. Mudgee tannins always have a grip on things in their youth and that is noticeable once more here but the energetic Shiraz seems to tame it. Soft spices linger with cocoa-like tannins to close. Crowd-pleasing appeal is high.
