Schild Estate Lorraine Schild Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Named after the matriarch of the family, Lorraine Schild was a tireless worker behind the scenes. A fitting tribute. As I sip this, all I can think about is roast beef or lamb chops on the coals.

Sweetish fruit, grilled peppers and char step out early. Blackcurrants skip about the mouth untamed. That sweetness keeps lingering. Dark chocolate and the most subtle suggestion of dried mint, it finishes drying with a touch of smoke. Feed it protein for the win but patience will reward handsomely.
