Tempranillo directed by La Petite Mort and filmed on location at Bents Road Winery. I only know this because this is what a very clever back label says. Oh, and this is a very approachable wine that screams (can I say that?) for food.
Meaty, this is dripping in pan juices and cured meats all the way - a well-crafted Tempranillo. Dark cherry fruit is met with red plums before it gets in deep. Earthy and with an endearing savoury appeal, it's soft and persistent. A hint of fruit sweetness washes through but that finish just rolls on and on. A wine you would happily indulge in at a wine bar or equally at a barbecue with friends, it's just a damn good drink. Nicely done.
Drink to three years.
