An interesting contrast to taste this 2018 beside its 2016 sibling.
It sees 20 months in seasoned French oak, but it is no where near as vibrant as the 2016. Quite heavy and dense, that weight anchors itself to the palate. Dark fruited, ribbons of spice flow through the mouth to a long and persistent finish. Given the choice, I'm on the 2016.
