Burton McMahon D'Aloisio's Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

More concentrated than the George's Vineyard Chardonnay in the same range, the D'Aloisio's vineyard comes from the Seville township in the Yarra Valley that is situated 230 metres above for those who love altitude chat. A great drink this.

The fruit was whole bunch pressed with natural fermentation taking place. MLF was not encouraged. The wine saw ten months in French oak (30% new).

A citrusy tang keeps me coming back. Focused nectarines and a flash of barbecued peach, some almond meal and vanilla add further interest. Raw cashews find their groove with time in the glass with a soft ginger spice rounding things out. A lovely wine and one I'd be happy to recommend.
