A 60/40 Cabernet Shiraz blend from the Rothvale Vineyard.
Flabby and weighed down, although 13%, it doesn't have that medium bodied Hunter Valley vibe I'm here for. Black fruits and black plums are framed by black pepper and exotic spices, I want some personality but things roll along here and are all a bit ho hum. I'd prefer the Shiraz for the same money.
Drink to five years.
