Balgownie Estate Black Label Faraday Pinot Gris 2021

I'm going to be honest... I took a quick look at the label and severely mispronounced the name replacing the second A in Faraday with a K. Thank goodness things aren't that bad. This is an easy drinking Pinot Gris that will ensure your day is a happy one - not the one I thought it could be.

A pear fest with poached pear and canned pear highlights plus some green apple. A little cinnamon spice adds to the great width on offer. A Pinot Gris that is more concentrated than clean and refreshing, it's the type of wine you'd kick back with on a cool afternoon. Those soft spices and white pepper hum along lingering beautifully on a moreish finish. Nicely done.

Drink to three years.
