Sherrah McLaren Vale Nero d'Avola 2017
Dried red flowers, hibiscus, red berries and various spices. And all of a sudden I'm thinking of duck ragu. A terrific food wine, blackcurrant leaf and dried savoury herbs run a neat course through the mouth bolstered by energetic red fruits. Chalky and powdery feels crawl through the mouth on what seems a never-ending finish. The type of wine you want to share with friends and bowls of plentiful food - and duck ragu.
