Peachy! Some engaging depth here. The oak really imparts some personality and I love it. A beautiful Hunter Valley Chardonnay.
It's not necessarily the fruit that has me kicking back in a state of comfort, it's the flow and presence this Chardy possesses. White fleshed peaches and nectarines along with pink grapefruit hook you in. Vanilla and a soft creamy drive unfurl slowly through the mouth. A touch of almonds and a smattering of raw cashews tuck in behind a fine textural feel courtesy of time on lees. The longer it's open the better it gets. A lemonade tang has the final word. I best have another glass just to make sure.
