Wicks Estate has landed themselves an excellent winemaker in Adam Carnaby. With 2021 being his first vintage after a most successful stint at Seppelts, this will be a label to watch closely. Here we have an excellent value Pinot Rosé.
Onion skin in the glass, the savoury appeal of this Rosé is hard to ignore. Dry, it has a moreishness about it - and funnily enough, I just want more. White cherries, watermelon husk and dried red currants, some red apple skin skirts the edges too. It flows through the mouth filling the width and breadth, top-ups come easy which is a pretty good sign. Well played. Someone say bargain?
